This can mean that when a homeowner falls behind on their mortgage payments, the lender forces the sale of the home the mortgage is based on. Some people or companies may say they can “save” your home from foreclosure. You should be careful with such claims. It is important that you understand all the terms of a plan to “rescue” yourself from a mortgage foreclosure and how it will affect you. This can lead to the loss of any equity you may have in your home. If possible, you should consult a lawyer for a financial professional to find out what other options are available to you. Don’t delay in seeking advice, because the longer you wait, the fewer options you have. Under Idaho law, you have five (5) days to rescind or rescind certain contracts or agreements related to the transfer of interests in property or money in a foreclosure situation. And a lawyer or financial professional can help you learn more about this option. Published in The Western News on January 4, 11, 18 and 25, 2022. MNAXLP
